Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the parts department operations
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize parts inventory and ensure availability
- Coordinate with vendors to order and receive parts in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, including tracking usage and reordering as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their parts needs
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure proper parts selection for repairs and maintenance
- Train and supervise parts department staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Monitor and analyze parts sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a parts management role, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and their applications
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve issues
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or other mechanical equipment is a plus
- Experience working in a dealership or similar environment is preferred
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is desirable
- Basic understanding of automotive diagnostics is beneficial
